Q. I just made a batch this morning and they are sticking to the un-greased good cookie sheet and they are coming out totally flat, not fluffy. I did use two sticks of margarine, softened. What is the problem. Cannot hardly get them out of the pan without breaking into pieces. Please help me. Thanks.
A. Ohhh. I hate that. So disappointing. First off, you are right in thinking that your margarine could be part of the problem. Margarine has a fair amount of water in it, not to mention other questionable ingredients. It is not the best baking ingredient.
If, however, you are using margarine for health purposes, use it in brick form, and make sure that it is at LEAST 80% solids. It will say on the packaging.
If you can use butter, I would. Without knowing the rest of the ingredients you used, that is as far as I can help you specifically.
You might want to try using parchment paper on your next batch of cookies. You will never have the sticking problem again. Then, try this
