Q. How long should one safely store any left over chocolate chip cookies and for how long?
A. Whaaa? Leftover chocolate chip cookies? I can't relate. At our house that would be a very unnatural phenomenon. ;o)
But...it does seem like there WAS a time when an air tight container did the trick nicely. A Tupperware or something with a snap on lid is ideal. Ziploc storage bags work well too. Be sure to squeeze a little extra air out before zipping the top. The bag should hug the cookies a little and look like it is shrink wrapped so to speak.
Either method the cookies will last up to a week without going bad. My personal preference is they start to get a little stale in flavor after three days or so.
