I forgot to add baking soda and baking powder and salt when mixing with flour

Q. Should I re-mix the cookie dough or how can I add ingredients if the dough is already mixed?

A. Argh. I have done this, and it makes me weep into my chocolate chip bag. I hate to say it, but these are key ingredients that are HARD to mix in properly at this point. Once you have mixed your dough into a cohesive lump, adding missed ingredients may not produce the best results. Liquids and eggs are an exception. They are easier to add at the end.

However, if the dough is a loss it would not hurt to try. I would sprinkle the salt and the soda as evenly over the dough as possible. Do not dump them into a concentrated pile somewhere in the dough. If you sprinkle, you have a pretty good chance of getting them distributed properly. Then mix lightly until they are blended. It is worth a shot!
